I’m sitting in the dim of my kitchen, glass of pinot noir at hand, dead flower petals and strings of ear buds scattered about my desk as I catch glimpses of darkening grey through the window. This shade of slate won’t seem to let up, though we were teased with a few days of shimmery sunshine and afternoons filled with the fluff of cherry blossoms.

Once a month I attend a networking event through the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) for work. To meet, to greet, to exchange cards, chat, catch up, and get the word out about Forte and everything else in between. I actually really enjoy these events usually and attend EuroCham along with a few others depending on time, date, etc.

Creeps.

Through a constant stream of social media, a never ending source of news constantly being thrown at you from the world wide web, and behind-the-screen interactions with people you’ve both encountered face to face or through the vast pages of the internet- it’s become more and more shockingly obvious that there are some seriously misguided people (on my side, generally older men) and basically disgusting creeps in this world.
