I’ve had quite a few questions recently about my favorite beauty and skincare products.
The majority of these things are unavailable in Cambodia so that’s a bust, but I’ll be sure to pick up the staples next time I’m in Bangkok.
Although I don’t use all of these every day (and I’ve run out of a few) they’re the colors that I’ve found to be most flattering on my skin tone and with my features. I do miss my full kit of products left back at home and as an ex makeup artist and esthetician the lack of quality products in Phnom Penh is more than frustrating.
On that dire note, I’m always happy to lend a hand with application or a shopping trip.
Products as follow:
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Medium Deep: Skinfinish offers coverage between a foundation and a bronzer. A light dusting of color perfect for contouring or a healthy glow.
Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion: With very few ingredients, non-comedogenic, and fragrance free this lotion is ideal for sensitive skin. Some of my clients with the smoothest and plumpest skin in their fifties swore by using Cetaphil since their teens
MAC Lipstick in Freckletone and Media: Freckletone, a perfect nude for tanned skin and daytime wear and Media, a rich burgundy ideal for layering to achieve wine stained lips or a deep, almost black pout
Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in Brown: a bit softer than a harsh black liner, stays all day and perfect for blending
Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner in Black: a liquid liner ideal for those with shaky hands. The fat bottle, stiff applicator and long-lasting color makes this my go-to liquid liner.
Anastasia Eye Lights Shimmer Jumbo Pencil in Chiffon: Less obvious than a stark white liner, this creamy nude liner makes hung over eyes disappear with an easy swipe of this creamy, thick pencil
Smith’s Rosebud Minted Lip Balm: non-sticky, subtly minty, and packed full of emollients and vitamins this balm is a chapped lips lifesaver
MAC Eyeshadow in Cork and Saddle: Cork, a matte medium brown ideal for every day wear and Saddlle, a matte camel tone for layering and accenting the browbone on yellow toned skin
MAC Powder Blush in Peaches: not quite pink, not quite orange. A sheer wash of color easily worn with or without bronzing powder
Mario Badescu Keratoplast Cleansing Lotion: A gentle toning cleanser for decreasing redness and dry skin. Aloe extract assists in skin hydration and it won’t leave your wallet empty
NARS Eyebrow Pencil in Ipanema: filling in sparse Asian brows is a cake walk with NARS brow pencil in Ipanema, a semi dry but easily gliding filler
Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray: salt water infused spray with zero hold but a lot of impact. Allows my unwillingness to brush my hair seem “windblown and beachy”
Tom Ford Black Orchid & White Patchouli: my two favorite fragrances, unisex, musky, and delicious. Worth an investment.
Garnier Youthful Radiance Eye Roll On: Caffeine in my cup and caffeine under my eyes helps rid symptoms of a sleepless night
Not pictured: my favorite brushes are MAC. But if I don’t want to shell out a couple hundred dollars easily on brushes I’ll go with Sonia Kashuk. Quality bristles, thick handled, and easy to clean. Also, awesomely inexpensive.
Guuuurl. If you want me to pick you up some stuff and ship it to you, let me know! You can always paypal me the monies!
Thanks for the offer mama! I will definitely keep that in mind. Hopefully I can find some of the goods in Thailand! Hope all is well.
